Recently, the IceMagic™ CryoAblation System developed by Shanghai MicroPort EP MedTech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "MicroPort EP") was successfully deployed for commercial application at CCB im AGAPLESION MARKUS KRANKENHAUS Hospital in Frankfurt, Germany. This milestone marks the official entry of the IceMagic™ CryoAblation System into the commercial application phase in the European market.

The procedures utilized the IceMagic™ CryoAblation Console, IceMagic™ CryoAblation Catheter, IceMagic™ EasyLoop™ Circular Mapping Catheter, and the PathBuilder™ Advance Steerable Introducer.

A total of three atrial fibrillation ablation procedures were completed, employing both standard balloons and surface temperature-controlled balloons. Following the standard German protocol for cryoablation procedures, all surgeries were performed under general anesthesia. Each procedure lasted approximately one hour, with preparation and ablation times each taking about 30 minutes. The safety of the surgeries was significantly enhanced through the dual safeguards of an esophageal temperature electrode and the IceMagic temperature control mode.

During the procedures, Professor Chun's team utilized the surface temperature control technology to conduct DTL occlusion tests and real-time contact assessment during ablation. The surface temperature control function precisely measures the temperature on the balloon surface, thereby determining its occlusion status and tissue contact. Furthermore, the system features a temperature control mode that monitors the ablation temperature state and automatically adjusts the cooling output to maintain the ablation temperature within a specific range. Professor Chun's team noted that these innovative technologies provide more real-time information on tissue contact and temperature, allowing the operator to quickly identify and optimize areas of poor contact, significantly improving both procedural efficiency and safety.

The success of these procedures not only further validates the unique advantages of the IceMagic™ CryoAblation System in precise temperature control and safety management but also lays a solid foundation for its clinical promotion across Europe and globally.
